Who is reuben?

reuben (not rueben, ruben, rubin or rhoobin!) is a guy from Wicklow who has been a performer for 29 years. What started out as a childhood hobby of magic tricks swiftly turned into a varied and bizarre career. He has entertained tens of thousands of children at birthday parties with his unique act. Reuben: he's not a clown! He is a stand-up comedian/magician for kids!

He wrote and starred in 129 episodes of 'ready steady reuben' - an RTE show based on physical comedy. He hosted 'The Big Big Bazaar', where he shows kids how to con the public out of their money to raise money for worthy causes.

Fond of creative challenges, he also developed a entire comedy act in stand-up clubs WITHOUT SPEAKING, going on to represent Ireland in the Montreal 'Just For Laughs' festival with Tommy Tiernan. He has performed his own one-man show in Vicar Street and has appeared on numerous chat shows and The Late Late Show.

reuben doesn't even need a venue or an audience to perform! He took part in the Street Performing World Championships where thousands of people attended and the acts must attract them to watch their show and then get them to pay for the privilege!
